A sawtooth roof comprises a series of ridges with double pitches on each side. They have numerous parallel planes that resemble a saw’s teeth, with one slope looking steeper than the other one. Windows are often installed in the vertical spaces of the roof, allowing plenty of natural light to pass through. Sawtooth roofs are commonly used on large commercial and industrial buildings but can also be seen in many modern houses today. Depending on the building’s architectural style, this type of roof can be made from steel, wood, or concrete.
