Most people think of French doors when they encounter the term “patio door.” Unlike sliders, French doors are hinged, which means they operate via hinges, similar to a casement window. However, like slider doors, they are also commonly used as exterior doors. Most French doors are also more elaborate than sliders and are more appropriate with adequate swing space. Most French doors' classic Art Deco look is a great fit for classic-style dwellings. Mere door pictures don't do the best-looking French doors justice.
